Vineyards
Fattoria Giuseppe Savini is located in Abruzzo, in the province of Teramo, and is strongly connected with the history and the nature of the territory. The winery spreads over around 70 hectares, of which 60 are destined to vineyards, and 10 to olive groves. The area destined to vine growing currently in production is of around 50 hectares. Further 10 hectares will soon enter production.
The company’s vineyards have a privileged position: only a few kilometers from the Adriatic sea and the Central Appennine, and at 300 meters above sea level, they can profit of the positive effect on temperature of both the sea and the mountain breezes.
When walking through the vineyards, you can admire the majesty of mounts Gran Sasso and Maiella, and the hills which gradually descend down to the sea.
Strong attention is paid both to the indigenous grape varieties most typical of the area and to the international ones which have demonstrated that they are capable, as much as the historical ones from Abruzzo, to bestow the best qualities of such a unique territory. The company’s production can therefore count on Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Sangiovese, for red wines; Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Pecorino and Chardonnay Sotto le Stelle (the result of a harvest by night), for white wines.
